Well I knew it was going to have to happen….but this will be my first Mother’s Day without my Mom. In fact, it was a year ago on Mother’s Day when she first told me something was going on with her foot. We would learn about a month later, June 25, I believe was the exact day we found out that she had a malignant brain tumor and she died one month later.
When we first found out about Mom’s brain tumor, I immediately said I wanted to make memories. So Flipman came up with idea of meeting in the Lake of the Ozarks. It was a total God moment and what great memories we created! Here are some pictures from our trip.
It was tough finding a place because it was right after the 4th of July and we had to be by the hospital because Mom could have seizures. Here is Mom standing on the deck of the condo.
This is typical of my Mom…always being Grandma.
And we finally got to the boat. Mom was so excited!
And now we’re cookin’ on the boat! I didn’t realize how much Mom loved boating, it was awesome!
One of my favorite pictures from our trip.
And of course my little guy giving Grandma a hug.
There is not a day goes by that I do not miss my Mom! Through my faith in Jesus, I know it is not goodbye but just see ya later! Happy Mother’s Day!
